Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 6 cups Chex cereal divided into 2 bowls
  • 3/4 cup strawberry cake mix dry
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup red candy melts heaping
  • 3/4 cup white candy melts heaping
  • 1 cup Valentine M&Ms
  • 2 tbsp Valentine sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Divide 6 cups of Chex cereal into two bowls: 3 cups each.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together strawberry cake mix and powdered sugar. Set aside.
  • Melt red candy melts in the microwave at 50% power in 1-minute intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour melted red candy over one bowl of Chex. Stir gently to coat evenly.
  • Transfer red-coated cereal to a large ziplock bag, add half of the cake mix mixture, and shake to coat. Spread on parchment paper to cool.
  • Repeat the same steps with white candy melts and the remaining 3 cups of cereal. Coat with the remaining powdered sugar mix.
  • Once both batches are cooled, mix together in a large bowl with Valentine M&Ms and sprinkles.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Notes

This is a fun no-bake treat that’s perfect for kids to help with (just supervise the melting step). Make ahead for easy party prep or gifting.
