Preparation

  • Start by preparing your chicken thighs. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • Season both sides with salt, ground black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

Cooking

  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the olive oil until it shimmers slightly.
  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the hot pan, ensuring they’re spaced out for even cooking. Cook on one side for about 5-7 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Flip each chicken thigh over and reduce the heat slightly. Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and soy sauce to create the sticky glaze.
  • Once the chicken is done, pour the honey garlic sauce mixture over the chicken in the pan and toss gently to coat.
  • Let it simmer for a couple of minutes to thicken the sauce before serving.

Resting

  • Remove the chicken from the pan and place it on a plate. Allow to rest for a few minutes.
