Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 ½ lbs, 680g)
  • 1-2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning adds heat and flavor
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar contributes sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive or canola) helps with browning
  • 1 teaspoon salt if Cajun Seasoning doesn’t contain salt

Optional Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter adds richness
  • 2 cloves garlic provides aromatic flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  • Pound each chicken breast to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, brown sugar, and salt if necessary.
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper or foil.
  • Toss the chicken breasts with the seasoning mix and drizzle with oil to coat evenly.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken for about 18 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Broil the chicken on high for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • If using the garlic butter, melt the butter, sauté the garlic until fragrant, mix with pan juices, and drizzle over the chicken before serving.

Notes

Pound the chicken evenly for uniform cooking and monitor the baking closely to prevent overcooking. Adjust seasoning based on heat tolerance.
