  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts lean, tender, and juicy
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese melts beautifully
  • 1 cup sour cream adds creaminess and tang
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese additional for topping
  • parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix sour cream, ½ cup Parmesan, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and cornstarch until smooth.
  • Place chicken breasts in the baking dish in a single layer. Pound if needed for even thickness.
  • Top each chicken breast with a slice of mozzarella cheese.
  • Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup Parmesan over the top.
  • Bake uncovered for 45–60 minutes until golden, bubbly, and chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over rice or pasta.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for better texture and flavor. Don’t skip the cornstarch—it keeps the sauce creamy. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
