Preparation

  • Start by preparing your ingredients. Dice the small onion and mince the garlic.
  • In your slow cooker, layer the base with the diced onions and minced garlic.
  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts on top of the onions and garlic. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Pour the alfredo sauce over the chicken, followed by adding the heavy cream. Stir gently to combine.
  • Add the Italian seasoning and sun-dried tomatoes, mixing everything delicately.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to high for 4 hours or low for 6-7 hours.
  • About 30 minutes before serving, cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions.
  • Once the chicken is tender, shred it directly inside the slow cooker and mix it back into the sauce.
  • Mix in the cooked rotini until it is well-coated with the creamy sauce.
  • Serve the dish hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

For best results, consider marinating the chicken in the alfredo sauce for a few hours before cooking. Adjust seasoning as needed.
