  • ½ cup Unsalted Butter Melted, rich texture
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced, aromatic
  • 2 Lemons Zest and juice for brightness
  • ½ cup Chicken Broth Provides moisture
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder For depth of flavor
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch For thickening
  • 1 tbsp Water To dissolve cornstarch
  • to taste Fresh Parsley For garnish

Preparation

  • Season the chicken with salt and black pepper.
  • In a bowl, mix together the dried oregano, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the slow cooker and pour the lemon garlic butter mixture over it.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low.

Finishing

  • Once cooking is complete, remove the chicken from the cooker.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then stir it into the sauce in the slow cooker.
  • Let the sauce thicken, then return the chicken to the slow cooker.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and allow the chicken to rest before slicing. You can also marinate overnight for enhanced flavor.
