Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Skewers

  • 2 lbs Chicken tenders, thighs, or breast Lean protein
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil Adds moisture
  • 1 stick Butter Richness
  • 8-10 cloves Garlic, minced Aroma and flavor
  • 1 tbsp Hot sauce Adds heat
  • 2 teaspoons Red pepper flakes Adds spice
  • 1/3 cup Fresh parsley, minced Adds freshness
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Provides umami flavor
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika Color and mild flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Additional garlic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Depth of flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances all flavors
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Mild heat

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Cut chicken into pieces approximately three inches long and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the chicken pieces and sprinkle the seasoning mixture on top. Toss to coat.
  • Thread the chicken pieces tightly onto the skewers.

Cooking

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter with minced garlic and heat until the butter is partially melted.
  • Stir in red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and parmesan cheese. Reserve one-third for later basting.
  • Place 2 to 3 skewers in the preheated air fryer at 400°F for about 5 minutes.
  • Flip the skewers, baste with reserved garlic sauce, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Flip again and baste with more sauce. Cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Serving

  • Serve warm, drizzled with remaining garlic sauce and additional parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

To enjoy leftover skewers, store them in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in the air fryer or oven.
