Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by heating a teaspoon of olive oil in your skillet over medium heat.
  • Add in the half cup of diced onion and cook for a few minutes until they become translucent.
  • Introduce two tablespoons of chopped garlic to the skillet with the onions and cook until fragrant.
  • Add two pounds of ground chicken breast to the skillet, breaking it apart for even cooking.
  • Season the mixture with one teaspoon of kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Stir in one tablespoon of chili garlic sauce.
  • Pour in half a cup of soy sauce and one-third cup of brown sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  • Add one-third cup of chicken broth to create a sauce.
  • To thicken the sauce, mix one tablespoon of cornstarch with one tablespoon of water and stir this into the skillet.
  • Once the sauce thickens, remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and adjust spice to taste. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
