Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add the diced onion and sauté gently until translucent for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the chopped garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, avoiding burning.

Cooking

  • Introduce the ground chicken breast into the skillet, breaking it up, and cook until no longer pink (6-8 minutes).
  • Season with kosher salt and fresh black pepper, then add chili garlic sauce and stir.
  • Pour in soy sauce, chicken broth, and add brown sugar, stirring to dissolve.
  • Allow the mixture to simmer, thickening slightly over a few minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then add gradually to the skillet, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
