Optional Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For topping, optional for extra richness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to a suitable temperature and prepare your baking dish or loaf pan by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, milk, minced garlic, and finely chopped onion. Mix thoroughly.

Mixing

  • Add chopped parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture. Mix until well incorporated.

Shaping

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Shape it into a loaf and smooth the top.

Baking

  • If desired, sprinkle mozzarella cheese and spoon marinara sauce on top. Bake until the internal temperature is reached and the top is golden brown.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing.
