  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar for tangy flavor
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil provides moisture
  • 2 tablespoons honey adds sweetness
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced for aromatic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs herbal notes

Preparation

  • Start by prepping your ingredients: trim the asparagus, halve the cherry tomatoes, and julienne the carrot if using it. Mince the garlic for flavor.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the skillet. Sear them on one side for about 5-7 minutes until nicely browned.
  • Flip the chicken breasts over, lower the heat slightly, and add the minced garlic and dried Italian herbs on top.
  • Pour the balsamic vinegar and honey over the chicken, ensuring everything is well coated.
  • Nestle the asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and carrot (if using) around the chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover the skillet and let everything cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat and let the dish sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are of even thickness for uniform cooking. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
