Instructions
 

Preparation of Macaron Shells

  • Prepare a batch of Perfect Macarons according to your favorite recipe. Ensure you have all shell ingredients measured.
  • Add 12 drops of leaf green gel food coloring to your macaron batter.
  • Pipe uniform circles onto a lined baking sheet.
  • Let the piped shells sit at room temperature until they form a slight skin.

Making Buttercream Frosting

  • Beat room temperature unsalted butter until creamy and light.
  • Gradually add sifted powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Add heavy cream, vanilla bean paste, and 4 drops of lemon yellow gel food coloring.

Baking the Macaron Shells

  • Bake the macaron shells according to your macaron recipe's instructions.
  • Once cooled, generously pipe the buttercream frosting onto the flat side of one shell.
  • Top with another shell to create a sandwich.

Decoration and Resting

  • Sprinkle the tops with Gold Wilton glitter stars and place a Lucky Charms marshmallow on each macaron.
  • Allow macarons to rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
