Ingredients

Truffle Base

  • ¼ cup heavy cream adds smooth texture
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice for tangy balance
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened for richness
  • zest of 2 lemons lemon zest aromatic brightness

Coating & Decoration

  • 1 cup melted white chocolate chips for dipping/ coating
  • zest of 1 lemon lemon zest for garnish
  • yellow sugar sprinkles (optional) for festive sparkle

Instructions

  • In a microwave‑safe bowl (or over a double boiler), combine the white chocolate chips and heavy cream. Heat in 20‑second bursts (if microwave) or stir over low heat until smooth. The aroma of creamy white chocolate will fill the air.
  • Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, and softened butter until fully blended—velvety and fragrant.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to shape.
  • Using a spoon or melon baller, scoop small portions of the chilled mixture and roll into neat balls with your hands. Place them on a parchment‑lined baking sheet. Chill again for about 30 minutes.
  • Melt the remaining white chocolate for coating. Dip each chilled truffle ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring even coverage. Set them back on the parchment sheet.
  • Before the coating fully sets, sprinkle with the additional lemon zest and, if desired, yellow sugar sprinkles for that sparkly finish.
  • Chill the truffles for about 30 minutes or until the coating has firmed. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

These truffles are perfect for gifting or special occasions. Use high‑quality white chocolate for best texture. For alternate coatings, try powdered sugar, shredded coconut, or freeze‑dried berry dust.
