Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6-8 pieces boneless chicken thighs, skinless or with skin tenderness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper, or to taste seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder aromatic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder savory depth
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper flakes, or Cayenne optional, for heat
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika mild smokiness
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced or minced fresh aroma
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning herbal notes
  • 1/2 stick butter, diced richness
  • 1/2 piece lemon, zest bright flavor
  • 1 piece lemon, juice of one tartness
  • 1/3 cup low sodium chicken broth moisture
  • Chopped fresh parsley and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by placing the chicken thighs at the bottom of your slow cooker in a single layer.
  • In a small bowl, combine the chicken broth, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Pour this mixture over the chicken thighs.
  • In another bowl, mix together the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the chicken thighs.
  • Top the chicken with sliced or minced garlic and diced butter.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set to HIGH for 3 to 4 hours or LOW for 6 to 8 hours.
  • Once cooked, check for doneness and sprinkle with chopped parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the chicken marinate for a few hours and adjust seasoning to taste. Avoid overcooking to maintain moisture.
