For the Assembly

  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions Adds freshness.
  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps Wrap base.
  • Optional: ranch, spicy mayo, or extra sweet chili sauce Dipping sauces.

Preparation

  • Begin by preparing the chicken. Slice the boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs into thin strips.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced chicken with cornstarch.

Cooking

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the coated chicken to the heated skillet, cooking until browned and cooked through (5-7 minutes).
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sweet sauce by mixing sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, reduce heat and pour the sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat.
  • Cook for another minute or two to allow the sauce to warm through.

Assembly

  • Slice the green onions, shred the lettuce or cabbage, and grate the carrots.
  • On a tortilla or wrap, spoon the warm chicken mixture, then top with the shredded vegetables.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll it tightly.
  • Slice diagonally, if preferred, and serve with optional dipping sauces.

Notes

Make sure to coat the chicken evenly with cornstarch and allow the chicken to brown before adding the sauce.
