Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and neutral oil to make the marinade.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl with the marinade and ensure they are coated evenly. Let sit for about 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and arrange the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them to develop a golden-brown sear.
  • Flip the chicken thighs over, reduce the heat to low, and add any remaining marinade to the skillet.
  • Cover the skillet and simmer for another 10-15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Optional: Drizzle in sesame oil, and add red pepper flakes and ginger once cooked.
  • Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and drizzle with leftover sauce.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or stir-fried vegetables. This dish also works well for meal prep.
