Sauce Ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by seasoning the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

Cooking the Chicken

  • Carefully add the seasoned chicken breasts to the hot skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until golden-brown.
  • Once flipped, reduce heat to medium-low and continue cooking for another 6-8 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Cook until heated through and slightly thickened.
  • In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch with water to create a slurry, and gradually add this to the skillet.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce and simmer briefly.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
  • Serve alongside cooked rice or steamed vegetables if desired.

Notes

For best results, let the chicken come to room temperature before cooking. Adjust sweetness in the sauce based on preference and always taste before serving.
