Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the boneless skinless chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of salted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once melted, place the seasoned chicken thighs in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  • Add the remaining tablespoon of salted butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the honey and soy sauce, stirring in the ground thyme and ginger. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and coat them in the sauce. Let them simmer in the sauce for another few minutes.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the dish rest for a moment before serving.

Notes

For best results, pat the chicken dry before seasoning, adjust honey for sweetness, let the sauce simmer for deep flavor, and be sure to rest the chicken before cutting.
