  • 500 g ground chicken provides protein and has a tender texture
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil adds moisture and rich fat
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced adds aromatic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated brings warmth and spiciness
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced for garnish and mild onion flavor
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish, adding nutty flavor and crunch

Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons sriracha provides heat and tang
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos or low sodium soy sauce adds umami and salty flavor
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar offers acidity to balance flavors
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil adds a rich, nutty flavor
  • 1 teaspoon monk fruit sweetener or erythritol adds sweetness without sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for additional heat

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the sriracha, coconut aminos, rice vinegar, monk fruit sweetener, and red pepper flakes if using. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.

Cooking

  • Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground chicken to the skillet and press into an even layer.
  • Cook undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy on the bottom.
  • Break up the chicken into smaller pieces and push to the edges of the skillet.
  • Drizzle a small amount of oil into the center, then add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds.
  • Pour the prepared firecracker sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  • Cook for about 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens and clings to the meat.
  • Remove from heat and drizzle with toasted sesame oil.
  • Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For milder flavor, adjust the sriracha and red pepper flakes. You can also add diced vegetables for texture and nutrition.
