Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish
  • Large Bowl

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded or cubed
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz each
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables 12 oz
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough 8 biscuits

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, frozen vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the filling into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  • Separate the biscuit dough and lay the biscuits over the top of the filling, spacing them evenly.
  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the filling to thicken slightly.

Notes

To lighten it up, use reduced-sodium soup and low-fat milk. You can prep the filling ahead and refrigerate it—just add the biscuits right before baking for best texture.
