Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix together until well combined.
  • Add 1 cup of Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients and mix until a rough dough starts to form.
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth and slightly tacky.
  • Preheat the oven and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper if desired.

Shaping

  • Divide the dough into four equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and poke a hole through the center to create the bagel shape.
  • Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.

Baking

  • Beat 1 egg in a small bowl and brush the tops of each bagel with the egg wash.
  • Sprinkle with desired toppings before placing them in the oven.
  • Bake the bagels until golden brown and firm to the touch.

Notes

Measure flour accurately to avoid dense bagels. Allow dough to rest for adequate shaping. Store properly for best texture and flavor.
