Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of the unsalted butter and the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken thighs generously with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Cooking

  • Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet.
  • Brown the thighs for about 5-7 minutes until the skin turns golden.
  • Flip the thighs over using tongs and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet.
  • Pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken and reduce the heat to low.
  • Cover the skillet and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Serving

  • Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, ensure the chicken is patted dry before seasoning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Can be frozen for 2-3 months.
