  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or to taste; adds warmth
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth moisture and depth of flavor; use as necessary for sauce
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter adds richness; more can be added for extra sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic finely minced; contributes aromatic flavor
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley optional for garnishing; adds color

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pound the boneless skinless chicken breasts to an even thickness, about 1 inch, and set aside.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  • Add chicken breasts and season them with 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook for about 5–7 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken and cook the other side for another 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Remove chicken from the skillet and let rest on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add white wine or chicken broth and simmer to deglaze, scraping up browned bits.
  • Add unsalted butter and minced garlic, stirring until the butter melts and the sauce is fragrant.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Sprinkle fresh parsley over the chicken before serving.
  • Serve warm with sauce spooned on top.

Notes

Ensure chicken is pounded evenly for moist results. Monitor garlic closely to avoid burning. Allow chicken to rest before slicing.
