  • Begin by preparing the chicken breasts, ensuring they are evenly sized for consistent cooking.
  • Pat them dry with paper towels, which helps the flour adhere better and allows for a crispier texture.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, grated cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix well to ensure an even distribution of the seasonings.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
  • Shake off any excess flour before moving on to the next step.

Cooking

  • Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Once melted and bubbling, gently place the coated chicken breasts in the skillet.
  • Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Once browned, remove the chicken from the pan and transfer it to a plate, covering it with foil to keep warm.
