  • Add the lemon juice and honey to the bowl, stirring gently to combine.
  • Incorporate the minced garlic, black pepper, and dried oregano until well combined.
  • Taste a small amount of the marinade to assess flavor balance.
  • Place the chicken in an airtight container or a zip-top bag, then pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's well coated.
  • Seal the container or bag tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
  • After marinating, remove the chicken from the refrigerator and discard any leftover marinade.

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes or longer. Discard any marinade that has come into contact with raw chicken. Use a thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F, and avoid overcooking to keep it juicy.
