Equipment

  • Crockpot

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2-4 chicken breasts fresh or frozen
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup or use chicken broth for a lighter option
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning optional
  • black pepper to taste

Optional Add-Ins

  • sliced carrots optional
  • chopped celery optional
  • sliced onion optional

Instructions

  • Place chicken breasts (fresh or frozen) into the crockpot in a single layer.
  • Add cream of chicken soup or broth. Sprinkle in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper to taste.
  • Optional: Add sliced carrots, celery, and onion directly on top of the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5–7 hours, or until chicken is tender and cooked through. If using frozen chicken, add 1 extra hour.
  • Shred or slice the chicken before serving. Use leftover sauce as a gravy or mix-in.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the crockpot—keep chicken in a single layer for even cooking. Avoid lifting the lid frequently to keep heat in. Use extra cooked chicken for tacos, sandwiches, wraps, or over pasta and rice.
