Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Pie Dish
  • Oven
  • Pastry Brush

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or cubed
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables peas, carrots, corn
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust or puff pastry for extra flakiness
  • 1 tbsp butter melted, for brushing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine chicken, vegetables, cream of chicken soup, milk, broth, and seasonings. Stir until well mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish or casserole dish.
  • Lay the pie crust over the filling, trimming any excess. Cut small slits for steam to escape.
  • Brush with melted butter for that beautiful golden finish.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  • Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for convenience. For more flavor, add fresh herbs like thyme or parsley. Swap crust for biscuits or puff pastry for variety. Let rest before slicing to avoid a runny filling.
