Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by preparing the chicken. Ensure the chicken breasts are thawed and patted dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  • Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over one side of the chicken breasts and spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture generously over the oiled side of the chicken, pressing gently to ensure it adheres.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet, seasoned side down, and cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken breasts, reduce the heat to medium, and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Serving

  • Once cooked through, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Slice the chicken as needed and serve warm, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or lemon wedges.

Notes

Ensure your skillet is hot enough before adding the chicken. Don’t skip the resting time after cooking for juicier meat. Monitor the internal temperature for food safety.
