Preparation

  • Begin by browning the ground beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until fully browned.
  • Drain any excess fat and set aside to cool.
  • In the slow cooker, add the cooked meat.
  • Cut the cream cheese into cubes and add it to the slow cooker.
  • Add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese to the slow cooker.
  • Drain the can of diced tomatoes and add them to the slow cooker.
  • Chop the jalapeños and stir them into the mixture.
  • Add garlic powder and onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • The dip is ready when the cheeses are well melted and the dip is creamy and smooth.

Notes

Serve warm with tortilla chips or veggies. Leftovers can be enjoyed the next day.
