Equipment

  • Crockpot

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2-3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Rinse and pat dry the chicken breasts. Trim any excess fat and place them in the crockpot.
  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Rub seasonings gently into the surface.
  • Add olive oil, chicken broth or water, and any optional ingredients like onions, lemon juice, or diced tomatoes.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred or slice as desired. Return to juices if you’d like it extra moist.
  • Serve with rice, vegetables, or in sandwiches, wraps, or pasta bowls. Enjoy!

Notes

Try Tex-Mex flavors by adding taco seasoning and black beans, or go Italian with marinara and herbs. This recipe is also perfect for meal prep—store extras in airtight containers or freeze for future meals.
