Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Tongs
  • Meat Thermometer

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the seasoned chicken in the bottom of your Crock Pot. Pour the chicken broth around the chicken, not directly on top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing or shredding. This helps keep the juices in the meat.
  • Serve warm as-is, or use in tacos, sandwiches, grain bowls, or salads.

Notes

Try variations like adding lemon juice, fresh herbs, or taco seasoning. For a creamy version, stir in cream cheese or heavy cream during the last 30 minutes. Great for meal prep and freezer storage.
