Preparation

  • Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season them with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Set aside.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and sauté until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add unsalted butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring continuously until it comes to a gentle simmer.
  • Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix it into the sauce. Adjust seasoning with additional Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook pasta in boiling salted water per package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the chicken and sauce, tossing gently to coat.
  • Sprinkle in red pepper flakes if desired, adjusting to your spice preference.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
