Ingredients
  

Main Mix

  • 1.25 cups granulated sugar for cinnamon sugar coating
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon ground
  • 12 oz rice Chex cereal about 6 cups
  • 3 cups pretzels mini twists or sticks
  • 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks, melted
  • 0.25 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 11 oz Kraft caramel squares unwrapped and quartered

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 275°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine Chex cereal and pretzels.
  • In another bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over cereal and pretzels, tossing gently to coat.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the mix. Toss again to coat evenly.
  • Spread mix evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Let mix cool for 15 minutes. Sprinkle caramel pieces over the top.
  • Once fully cooled, store in an airtight container. Enjoy!

Notes

Let the mix cool completely before storing to maintain crispness. Customize with chocolate chips or nuts after baking for fun variations.
