For the chocolate coating

  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips (sweet and creamy) Use any preferred chocolate type
  • 1/2 teaspoon Crisco Helps create a smoother consistency

Preparation

  • Rinse the strawberries gently under cold water and pat them dry with a clean towel, ensuring they are completely dry.

Melting the chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and Crisco. Microwave in short bursts of 20 seconds, stirring each time until smooth.

Dipping

  • Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.

Setting

  • Place the chocolate-covered strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they don’t touch.
  • Let them set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or refrigerate for faster setting.

Serving

  • Enjoy immediately or cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Best enjoyed fresh. Chocolate-covered strawberries can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
