  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries (stems attached) Ensure strawberries are ripe and washed thoroughly.

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Place the strawberries on a clean baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Melting Chocolate

  • Place the Ghirardelli baking chips in a medium microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave the chocolate chips on low setting in 30-second intervals, stirring gently after each, until almost fully melted.

Coating Strawberries

  • Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip back into the bowl.
  • Place the coated strawberry onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • If needed, reheat the chocolate briefly to maintain a smooth consistency.

Final Touches

  • If desired, drizzle additional melted chocolate on top for decoration.
  • Allow the strawberries to sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes.
