Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into strips Tender texture
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Adds moisture

  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric Warm color
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander Citrusy note

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Sharp flavor
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Bright acidity

For the Garlic Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise Creamy texture
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic Intense flavor
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Adds tang

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the boneless thighs or breasts into strips and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the olive oil to the chicken.
  • Sprinkle in the ground cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, and cinnamon. Coat the chicken strips evenly with the spices.
  • Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the chicken mixture. Squeeze in the lemon juice and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Mix everything thoroughly until the chicken strips are completely coated with the marinade.
  • Transfer the marinated chicken to a baking sheet or skillet, spreading the strips out in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Cook the chicken until fully cooked through and golden, flipping halfway if necessary.
  • While the chicken cooks, prepare the garlic sauce by combining mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Taste the garlic sauce and add salt as needed.
  • Once the chicken is done, let it rest briefly before slicing it into smaller pieces.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken with the garlic sauce drizzled on top or on the side. Optionally, serve it with pita bread or over rice.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for deeper flavors. Adjust the garlic in the sauce based on your taste preference.
