Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and mixed vegetables. Stir gently until well blended.
  • Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into the mixture and mix thoroughly.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and place it in the oven.

Baking

  • Bake for 45 minutes, then carefully remove the foil.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  • Return the dish to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Once baked, allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes.

Notes

Ensure the chicken is well shredded for even distribution. Use low-sodium chicken broth if watching your salt intake. Allow the casserole to rest after baking for better slicing.
