  • 2-3 cups cooked/shredded chicken or diced cooked chicken Provides protein and heartiness
  • 1 package Lipton Onion soup mix Adds flavor and depth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Contributes creaminess and umami
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Adds moisture and richness
  • 2 cups milk Creates a smooth consistency
  • ¾ cup sour cream Provides tanginess and creaminess
  • ½ cup water Helps adjust consistency
  • 2 cups minute rice (uncooked) Serves as the base that absorbs flavors
  • to taste Salt/pepper Enhances overall flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the cooked chicken, onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, water, rice, and salt and pepper. Stir well to integrate all ingredients.
  • Spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Pour the chicken and rice mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil.

Cooking

  • Place the covered pan in the preheated oven and cook for 45 minutes.
  • After 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few moments before serving.

Notes

This casserole is versatile and can be enjoyed as a breakfast or family meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three to five days.
