Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard

BBQ Sauce

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce plus more for serving

Instructions
 

  • Mix chicken thighs with avocado oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried mustard in a bowl or container. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Stir ¼ cup of BBQ sauce into the marinated chicken. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Flip each thigh, brush with more BBQ sauce, and bake for another 10 minutes.
  • Turn oven to broil. Brush with a final coat of BBQ sauce and broil for 5–6 minutes, until caramelized.
  • Let rest a few minutes before serving. Add extra sauce if desired.
