Preparation

  • Begin by cooking the chicken. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the chicken breasts and poach for about 25 minutes. Remove the chicken from the water and allow it to cool.

Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray.

Prepare Sauce

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the cubed cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder over medium-low heat. Whisk until smooth.

Combine Ingredients

  • Incorporate the shredded chicken into the sauce. Add the chopped green onion, along with 1 cup each of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Top with the remaining cheeses.

Bake

  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Broil for an additional 2 to 3 minutes for a golden-brown crust.
  • Allow the dip to cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, vegetable sticks, or crackers.

Notes

For variations, add blue cheese or Greek yogurt, incorporate cooked bacon or vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container; refrigerate for up to 4 days or freeze for three months.
