  • 1/2 cup sour cream Adds moisture and tang.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded) Enhances flavor.

Preparation

  • Begin by shredding the cooked chicken and setting it aside.
  • Grate the cheddar cheese and set it aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the hot sauce, softened cream cheese, and sour cream. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the shredded chicken and half of the grated cheese into the mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly.
  • Spread the mixture into a pie pan or an 8×8 baking dish and smooth it out.
  • Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 12-15 minutes until bubbling.
  • Optional: Top with chopped chives or green onions before serving.
  • Serve warm with toasted bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Make sure to soften the cream cheese before mixing. Adjust the hot sauce based on your heat preference. Allow the dip to cool slightly before serving.
