Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, ensuring even coverage.

Mixing the Glaze

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar with water and stir until mostly dissolved.
  • Add garlic powder, dried thyme, additional salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Mix well.

Coating the Chicken

  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the brown sugar mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated.

Baking

  • Cover with aluminum foil (optional) and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through.
  • Remove foil during the last 5-10 minutes for enhanced caramelization, if desired.

Resting

  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes
