Preparation of Noodles

  • Begin by boiling water in a large pot. Once boiling, add the ramen noodles. Cook them according to the package instructions until they reach a tender but slightly firm texture. Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Base

  • In a frying pan, heat a few tablespoons of cooking oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot but not smoking, add the diced onion. Sauté until translucent and fragrant.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir well, cooking for another minute.
  • Stir in the teriyaki sauce and soy sauce, cooking for about a minute until well combined.
  • Lower the heat and add the butter, stirring until fully melted.

Combining Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk lightly. Pour into the frying pan and stir gently to cook through.
  • Add the chicken pieces, stirring to coat in the sauce and cooking until fully cooked.
  • Add the cooked ramen noodles to the pan and gently toss everything together.
  • Fold in the chopped green onions and give everything a final stir.

Notes

Use a non-stick pan for easier release when cooking the eggs and chicken. Taste the sauce to adjust seasoning to your preference. Add green onions just before serving to keep freshness.
