  • Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken and rub it evenly across the skin and inside the cavity.
  • Sprinkle the BBQ rub all over the chicken, ensuring to cover it completely, including the inside of the cavity.
  • Add the kosher salt, distributing it evenly over the chicken.
  • Open the can of beer and place it upright in the center of your roasting pan or grill. Carefully position the chicken on top of the beer can.

Cooking

  • Roast the chicken in the oven or on the grill until the skin is golden and juices run clear, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Notes

Allow the chicken to come to room temperature before cooking for even doneness. Use a flavored beer for unique taste profiles. Ensure the chicken is stable on the can to prevent tipping during cooking.
