Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded For protein and substance
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Adds moisture and tanginess
  • ½ cup shredded cheese Provides creaminess and flavor

For the Wrap

  • 4 large tortillas Serves as the wrap foundation
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded Adds crunch and freshness
  • ½ cup tomato, diced Offers juiciness and flavor
  • ¼ cup onion, diced Adds bite and sweetness

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the cooked and shredded chicken to the mixing bowl and pour in the BBQ sauce. Stir gently until the chicken is well coated.
  • Lay the large tortillas flat on a clean surface. Warm them slightly if needed to soften.

Assembly

  • Portion the BBQ chicken mixture onto the center of each tortilla, leaving space around the edges.
  • Top the chicken with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomato, and onion.
  • Fold the two sides of the tortillas inward and roll from the bottom up to the top.

Cooking

  • Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Place the wrapped tortillas seam-side down and grill until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Allow the wraps to cool slightly, then wrap them in aluminum foil or parchment paper if serving later.
  • Slice the wraps in half diagonally for easy serving.

Notes

Warm tortillas slightly before filling to prevent cracking. Use cooked chicken that is tender and moist. Don't overfill the tortillas to make wrapping easier.
