  • cups regular Coca Cola soda Adds moisture and sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, dried minced onion, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  • Pour the Coca Cola around the chicken breasts.
  • Spread 1 cup of barbecue sauce over the chicken breasts.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook the chicken on LOW for 4–6 hours.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a serving platter.
  • Brush the chicken with the remaining ½ cup of barbecue sauce.
  • Serve the chicken whole or shred it for sandwiches or sliders.

Notes

For best results, consider marinating the chicken in barbecue sauce for extra flavor. Allow resting time after cooking for juicier chicken, and ensure even spacing of chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
