Preparation

  • Shred the cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces using your hands or a fork.
  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash the avocado lightly with a fork.
  • Add the lime juice to the mashed avocado and mix gently until well combined.
  • Chop the cilantro and red onion into small pieces and add them to the bowl with the avocado mixture.
  • Sprinkle the cumin and red pepper flakes into the mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the shredded chicken to the avocado and spice mixture. Gently fold everything together until well mixed.

Notes

Use ripe avocados for the best flavor and texture. Adjust lime juice to taste and consider adding chopped celery or bell peppers for crunch.
